"I absolutely love my new jacket! It's perfect for all my outdoor adventures and looks great in the city too. The quality is top-notch, and the fit is just right. I've gotten so many compliments already!"
I grew up in the South with a deep love for photography, art, and the outdoors. We didn’t have a lot of fancy things, but we had plenty of room to explore. Many of my favorite childhood memories come from being outside, using what we found around us to create something new.
Looking back, I think that is where my love for creativity started. Finding beauty in simple things and seeing possibilities where others might overlook them has always been a part of who I am.
Photography has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I had a Polaroid camera as a child, followed by film cameras where I had to wait patiently to see how the photos turned out.
There has always been something special about freezing a moment in time. I love that a photograph can bring you right back to a feeling, a season, or a memory years later. I also love the creative side of photography, taking something ordinary and finding a way to make it beautiful.
My husband and I joined the Navy together because we wanted to experience more than the small towns we grew up in. We wanted to see the world, meet new people, and learn from different cultures.
From 2008 to 2011, my time in the Navy introduced me to places, traditions, and people I may have never encountered otherwise. Living in Japan and experiencing different cultures shaped the way I see the world today. It taught me to slow down, appreciate the little details, and find inspiration everywhere I go.
When I became a mom, photography took on a whole new meaning. I wanted to capture those tiny details and everyday moments that pass by so quickly.
After having my first baby, I decided to teach myself newborn photography so I could create those memories for my own family. That little beginning eventually became the start of Michele Williams Photography in 2011.
Motherhood also led me to homeschooling, which has given me the opportunity to slow down even more, follow my passions, and create a childhood filled with learning through everyday experiences.
What started as a way to photograph my own baby grew into a business centered around people and their stories.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of photographing newborns, families, children, and entrepreneurs. My favorite part has always been getting to know the people in front of my camera. I love helping people relax, making them laugh, and creating an experience where they can simply be themselves.
After moving to a smaller town, I found myself wanting a creative space that could grow with me. Photography will always be a huge part of who I am, but I have always been someone who loves learning, creating, and trying new things.
This space is where I get to share all of the things that inspire me: photography, nature, gardening, birding, homeschooling, journaling, simple DIY projects, creative tools, and the everyday finds that make life a little more enjoyable.
I hope when you visit, you feel like you are stepping into a place where you are welcome to be curious, creative, and yourself. My faith is also a meaningful part of my story and the way I see the world. I believe there is so much beauty to be found in the little moments we often pass by.
